- programs, activities, opportunities to participate & serve
- resources for Bible study and prayer
- explanation of who Presbyterians are and what they believe
- making friends
- process of becoming a member and expectations
The class concludes with each confirmand appearing before the Session and participating in the confirmation ceremony in the sanctuary during a Sunday worship service in April or May.
Contact the pastor at the church office for more information.
Senior High Sunday School
Meets each Sunday morning at 10:00 AM in the town church. The Senior High Sunday School class explores lessons from the Bible through a variety of means, using movie clips, songs, and other popular media to reinforce Biblical passages. Open conversation is encouraged, and lessons are designed to be relevant to issues senior high youth may be facing in their daily lives.
Middle School Sunday School
The middle school's Sunday School Curriculum is based on the series, Bible Quest. Stories from this sequence are based on scripture from both the Old and New Testaments. Each lesson requires learners to read the scripture and discuss what it means to them. We then work on relating the Bible to modern times. Sometimes we do role playing, play or create games, make models, or watch a film. Also, when appropriate, we discuss God's word and relate it to current events that are going on in our church. For example, if someone has passed away, we talk about it and read scripture for comfort. We also do this if someone is severely ill or is having a difficult time in life within our church family.
